Occasionally we check-in with some of the people featured in our stories to learn how their careers are progressing in Georgia’s production industry. Here’s an update on Harris Diversified.
Harris Diversified of Dallas, GA, had a brief shutdown in the early days of the pandemic. But business has been gangbusters since September 2020, says owner Rick Harris.
His company provides electrical and temperature control services on movie sets and locations. “The industry impacts everything in Georgia – from building supplies to restaurants and hotels,” he says.
It’s a much bigger impact than even conventions, which was his focus for 20 years. He now has 25 employees, up from about 18 before the pandemic.
“We work on just about every large production that comes to this state,” he says, including TV hits “Ozark” and “Stranger Things.”
